Rocking Horse Skids

Mine Cable Services offers a variety of designs of Rocking Horse Skids to elevate and support electrical coupling points, providing visibility of inline connections for maintenance personnel and mine site traffic in the field. Available in light duty or heavy duty models, Rocking Horse Skids conform to mine site regulations to elevate electrical junction points, can be easily relocated, and serve to keep electrical connectors up and away from dirt, mud, and snow.

Light Duty Rocking Horse Skid

• Elevates coupler junction points for visibility to maintenance personnel and minesite traffic
• Conforms to minesite regulations to elevate coupler junction points in the field
• Provides coupler roller over protection, reducing damage and equipment down time
• Elevates cable junction points up and away from mud, dirt, and snow
• Light weight and rugged design easily repositioned by personnel or light duty minesite vehicles
• Standard color is high visibility orange (or to customer specifications)

Heavy Duty Rocking Horse Skids are available for 8kV inline junction boxes and coupler connections, 15kV permanently fixed connection box connection units, or with coupler containment boxes to protect electrical connections from falling rock or debris, and environmental conditions such as rain or snow.
