The MCS “Satellite” Wire Ball allows a working shovel to safely relocate its own tail cable without assistance on the ground, eliminating the necessity of additional personnel during a simple shovel move. Designed to work together with the MCS “Torpedo” Strain Relief Clamp, the cable is held within a cushioning rubber body, secured with the Torpedo's steel saddle and two steel retaining clamps. The Satellite Wire Ball and Torpedo Strain Relief Clamp are connected together using steel cables and steel shackles. When the Wire Ball is lifted by the shovel’s bucket, the Torpedo Strain Relief Clamp is also lifted, supporting the cable in a gentle bend radius, protecting the cable from strain damage.
