For nearly 30 years, Mine Cable Services (MCS) has manufactured its line of medium voltage electrical connectors and coupling systems for use in mining applications such as draglines, drills, as well as to connect tunnel boring machines, container port and forestry crane operations.
Mine Cable Services offers a variety of different electrical cable connectors ranging from 600V to 25kV including Cable Couplers and Skid Mounted Junction Boxes. All components are proudly made in Canada at our main manufacturing facility in Edmonton, Alberta with a focus on producing quality, innovative, and customized products for your electrical cable connection requirements.
Electrical Cable Couplers, Tools, and Materials
For those customers whose preferred method of electrical connection is the use of terminated cable ends, Mine Cable Services offers the option of Skid Mounted Junction Boxes. Skid Mounted Junction Boxes are available in voltages from 8kV up to 25kV, with a variety of design options to best suit your operations requirements. Skid Mounted Junction Boxes are manufactured to order, offering customization according to customer specifications. Each Skid Mounted Junction Box design is CSA approved and meets the NEMA 3R weather resistant standard, with options for either posiclamp, or terminal lug to buss bar connections.
